“Siberian Tit & Pine grosbeak on your bucket list?”
We have the tour for you, maximum 8 guests are joining in on each tour. Snowmobile tour, bird-watching and lunch around the camp fire…
Along with the fire, often the Siberian Jay also appear…
For our birdwatching guests staying in our accommodation, this is a tour out to our successful wilderness feeder.
The tour starts from our base at Melkefoss and is organized with snowmobile and a sled. You will not be running the snow mobile yourself so no driver’s license or other skills needed.
Our wilderness feeder is famous due to the high success rate of a few but wanted birds for most bird watchers. From the end of February and out the winter season there is good chance to see Siberian Tit, Pine Grosbeak and Siberian Jay here.
While you do some bird watching and taking photos of the birds, your guide will prepare a bonfire and make the camp ready for you to come and have some lunch. The lunch might be grill food that you make over the fire or the guide have brought a meal that will be heated up over the bonfire.
The tour includes:
- Equipment such as snow suite (8 years to size XL), shoes (EU size 36 to 46), helmet and gloves
- Guests sit in the sled behind the snow mobile out to our wilderness feeder at Myrbekken
- 2-3 hours at the feeder
- Grill lunch over the open fire
